AWARD: MPostcode's Carbon Hero of the Month for September
In a year that's been tough and stressful for us all, we were incredibly proud to receive this award that celebrates Manchester's 'Carbon Heroes'. We recognise the impact that so many small businesses in Manchester are trying to make towards a greener and more sustainable future and are very happy to be named alongside other incredible companies and recognised among them for the efforts we have gone to.
What have we done?
We have tried to make as much impact as possible within our means - whether they be financial or physical.
Our new vocal booth is made with a number of environmentally friendly materials, including the insulation which is made with recycled denim. Around the studio, we have aimed to use acoustic panels made from recycled materials, or at least environmentally friendly materials.
We have limited our usage of paper to be as and when is strictly necessary, cut down on heating usage, replaced all lighting with energy-saving LED bulbs and more. Though we haven't been able to truly make any major steps, worth thousands of pounds like others, we have worked incredibly hard to work with our means and do what we can as a studio to make an impact.
“It’s so good to see the return of the Carbon Hero award after a gap of a few months, while we all find our feet again. Seeing one of the very first members of MPostcode Business Hub being recognised for the efforts made to reduce their Carbon Footprint is fantastic, and a shining example of how every business can play their part in leading us to a more sustainable future. Well done Aaron Fletcher and Buzzin’ Sounds Recording Studio!”

Our job now is to understand that there is still work to be done to make Buzzin' Sounds and Manchester more sustainable and environmentally friendly. So, our work is not done - there's still more to do. We will continue to work towards our goals, and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
